WOW VIRTUAL MONOLOGUE SLAM

Where actors can create, perform, sharpen skills, win cash prizes and get in front of national theatre and film/TV industry professionals.

The WOW Monologue Slam is an industry showcase for actors of all ages and experience. This exciting virtual event is a performance competition that provides a space where actors can creatively come together, sharpen and showcase their skills, win some FREE MONEY and get in front of some of the nation’s leading theatre, film and TV industry professionals! 

 

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

YOU are! This is, if you are over 18 years old. No matter your level of experience or location. If you think you got what it takes to win this competition – then let’s do this!

WHAT’S THE FEE?

There is a small $20 submission fee.

HOW DOES THIS WORK? 

First step is to register BEFORE each round deadline. You must complete the registration form, pay your submission fee and upload a YouTube link of you performing your best 1-1 1/2 minute monologue to be considered. We prefer you send a YouTube link of your monologue submission however, if you can't send a link you may elect to send your video via email to info@wowproduction.org. Please put MONOLOGUE SUBMISSION - YOUR NAME in the subject line.

Deadline to submit is Sept 1, 2020. There will be 21 actors will be selected to participate during the preliminary rounds September 11th -13th and the finalists from those rounds will compete during the Grand Finale on Sunday, September 20th.

WHY SHOULD YOU SUBMIT?

We know that there are many times actors submit to auditions or contests like this and if they are not selected, they don't hear anything. Well, this is different! All submissions will receive personalized feedback regarding their submission. Feedback can include how to improve, if the actor made a good monologue selection, what the actor can do to improve, etc. It's a win-win! So why not!?

Each night, there will be a new group of contestants that will perfom LIVE in front our streaming online audience and an Industry Professional Guest Judge for that round. One (1) winner will be selected based on the highest tally of public votes and Two (2) winners will be selected by the Guest Judge. All 3 winners from each round will move onto the Grand Finale. The Grand Finale will be judged by a panel of industry professionals who will select One (1) Winner and One (1) Runner up and the online audience will choose One (1) People’s Choice Winner that will be selected based on the highest tally of public votes!

Day 1 - Sept 11, 2020 @7:30pm

Day 2 - Sept. 12, 2020 @7:30pm

Day 3 - Sept. 13, 2020 @7:30pm

 

GRAND FINALE - WINNER’S CIRCLE

Grand Prize:

$150 Cash Prize, Trophy, Conference Call Meeting/Acting Class with one of the Judges of Your Choice.(Valued at $200)

 

1st Runner Up:

$50 Cash Prize, Trophy, Free Online Acting Class (Valued at $50)

 

People’s Choice Award:

Trophy, Free Online Acting Class (Valued at $50)
